I just got home from my dads house. Went over to the sewing corner in the dining room and there was my Pfaffs sewing pedal on the floor. The cord connecting it to the machine had been chewed in half.     I wanted to cry. I always put it up ( knowing the puppy likes to chew ) but I must have forgotten.    Or a cat knocked it down. I just ordered a new one on Ebay........$95.00. OUCH No fabric or anything for the next couple of months. Sigh. Some days are just like that I guess. I'm heading to bed and hoping tomorrow is better. :-( :-( :-(

We have a three year old Boston and even though he as proven to be reliable, I still don't trust him 100% and I crate him when we go out. He is happy in his crate since he sometimes goes in it when we are home. I always crated him with toys and he has learned what belongs to him. Yours will learn some day.

Oh, boy. I'm sorry. I know how it goes. I had a dog one that chewed through the wiring to the pump to the well. Sorry you won't get any new fabric for a while!
|
Oh no! I'm so sorry that happened. Those little stinkers do choose the darndest things to chew on. {hugs}
|
Oh no..... I am so sorry! :(

My DD;s pup got in her purse[bow-tuck] and chewed up a pack of gum and the $30 she had layed in the top of her purse. She wasn;t a happy camper.

Oh!
Yes, those puppies! Ours chewed a rug. She had to have surgery. Not cheap, but it saved her life. Gotta love them anyway! |
What a bummer!! I'm glad that he did not get electrocuted!!!
My girls are 8 and 12 and I still lock them up when leaving the house or for the night. I don't want them getting into my kitchen or into my sewing stuff! |
My Foxy, the red one, did that to my Janome but I took it to an electrician and for $10.00 I was back in business in 1 hour.
|
So sorry that your furbaby caused the damage and limits your fabric acquisition. It is good that you are going to rest now and feel rested in the morning. Hugs, hugs, and more hugs to you:-)

Oh, I am so sorry. That's stuff is always so frustrating. I know a cure for whenever your fur kids destroys something of yours. You take a newspaper and roll it up real tight. Then you hit yourself on the head with it real hard. The reason a pup destroys something is because YOU didn't keep it out of his reach. A hard lesson learned.

My bulldog did that early in the Summer....Thank goodness is was just one I got at a garage sale!
|
Oooohhhh! Aren't they so sweet sometimes. My Molly still gets to sleep in a kennel when I leave the house. She isn't really happy about it, but that's life. So sorry for your foot pedal.

So sorry to hear about your dog chewing up the cord,
I'm glad you were able to replace it |

Next door bought a new wooden outdoor setting complete with 8 chairs a couple of weeks ago,and probably paid $900 - $1000 for it. They went out the next morning to find their Doberman had spent the night chewing the legs of the table. They have now wired off the back verandah to keep her away. She has also been chewing the palings in the fence between us, and has chewed through 3 so far.

I had a friend that used hot pepper on anything the dog shouldn't chew. It will dry on, and the dog won't do more that nip it once.

on the door jambs, couch skirt, chair edges. my shoes, sneakers, my DHs shoes, slipers.t relly works. I look around now and see stuff and wires to be secured to the walls and sprayed too. tomorrows chores. o well |

They both work, leave at 7.30am get home about 6pm. His idea of exercise is to drive her to the local park at about 6am when no one is around and let her run loose. Then when he gets home he kicks a ball around the yard for about half an hour. Annoys hell out of me, and gets my dog going. Both he and his better(?) half could do with a 4 mile walk a day too. |
