Beautiful looking tank. Saltwater tank or fresh water tank?

It used to be salt but I will be doing fresh. I have done salt in the past but decided on fresh this time.

That is a beautiful tank. I can't wait to see it with fish.

Very cool!!! I have a 100 Gal tank in my living/dining room. Love my tank. I have it as a freshwater tank, full of fish.

Remember not to add too many fish too soon. It will need to cycle!!!!

We have a tank that is around 80 gallons. It has been great therapy for my husband.

It is great therapy. I love to sit in the dining room with the lights out except the aquarium light and just look at the fish. Or even sit in my Lazy boy and listen to the tank. It's supposed to help lower your blood pressure. (unless there's something wrong and your fish are dying, that raises your blood pressure!!)

What a bummer!!!
I once had my son (who was 17 at the time) do a water change after I went to bed. He forgot to turn the filter and water pumps back on after he was done and being that my tank sealed very well, I lost about 30% (several hundred dollars worth at the size they were) due to suffocation. I now have separate air pumps on a different power strip. We only shut off the water pumps and filter when changing water, the air pump stays on at all times. I even have a battery back up pump on the tank now. We call that time "The great kill-off"

I have an 80 gallon, with just several fish.

Yes I am getting very excited to finally be able to add fish this weekend..she says crossing her fingers. Even w/ no fish I have found myself just sitting & watching the water movement..lol yes I have always had a tank of some sort...must say the bigger the easier, but I too have had my share of fish horror experiences, hopefully not anymore anytime soon.

I added 4 baby chilids and a vacum cleaner fish. The babies are so small they didn't show up when I took a pic so we will have to wait until they grow alittle. I am not a very patient person and its really hard not adding alot of fish at once but while I am not pateint I have learned the hard way from past experiences...woke up this morning all new additions are alive and well...yippe

I used to have aquariums! They can be very soothing!!! :D
