Molly you are very talented. Outfits are beautiful and I like the colors. Have you tried adding fabric to tee shirt to make a dress. I purchased a cute shirt from our neighborhood Goodwill and did this...it was very pretty.

I love those!! Adorable!

wow -- great work! -- I used to sew my own clothes a long time ago, using Vogue patterns no less, but I discovered that Macy's and Dillard's do it cheaper with better quality and workmanship -- lol-- I do make Abby her turtleneck and mock turtleneck fleece shirts, using a Vogue pattern (best dressed doggy in the area)

WOW!! All are so pretty & cute!! Love the fabrics!! You did a great job!!!!

I think you did a fantastic job. These are adorable, and your curves look perfect. I really love the bloomers!!!

I used to make my girls clothes when they were young...before there were sergers for the home sewer. Yikes, how old am I?

Quilted Nana 07-02-2011 11:41 AM

They are cute. I used to make all clothes for my 2 girls back when in my 20s, 2 dresses in an evening.Piece of cake.

Now in my 60s, I made a outfit, similar to yours, for my great-grand daughter it took me 2 WEEKS! and I still need to put on buttons. I LOVE to make quilts. Thats it for little dresses.

Moral: make them while you are young and before quilts.

Those are adorable. Remember that God made seam binding just for curves.

Very cute! I just spent a week of my vacation using my DMIL's very basic machine to sew dresses for my two great nieces. "To Tie For" pattern by Olive Ann designs. Very easy and super cute - reversible too! Pattern also comes with a doll pattern and headband for the girls!

Love the clothing, you did a great job.

Once you get the gathers down - um - and reading the instructions :)- making clothing for kids is almost more fun than quilting. More people get to see your works of art for sure!

MOMBASIL53 07-02-2011 07:01 PM

How cute. Great job!

TacoMama 07-03-2011 05:10 AM

How cute! I've sewn for years especially children's clothes so quilting is what is hard for me. You did a wonderful job. I would much rather sew clothes, but want to quilt and am still trying!!!!!

Olivia's Grammy 07-03-2011 09:12 AM

Very colorful. Very pretty. When Olivia wears something I've made for her she says "Mimi made it". She's 2yo. But after making clothes for most of my life and then switching to quilts, quilts are easier. Still make most of my clothes and a few for Olivia.

hperttula123 07-03-2011 09:52 AM

you did fantastic!!! The outfits are adorable. :)

cjaye44 07-04-2011 05:13 AM

I've always thought those short little dresses and pinafores with matching bloomers were so adorable!!

Lyncat 07-04-2011 05:25 AM

I recently made a baby dress using a new McCalls pattern and the instructions were very confusing. Usually I just pull out a 25 year old pattern and use it...much simpler instructions and more detail on the pattern pieces. Your outfits are adorable...love the ruffles on the panties.

Margie 07-05-2011 07:14 PM

Well, they turned out wonderful! I love making children's clothing...esp little girls...so much fun...no little ones anymore though.

Ditter43 07-05-2011 07:40 PM

They are so cute!! When my girls were growing up I made a lot of their clothes. Those ruffled bloomers are adorable! :D
