I'm working on a custom baby bedding order for a lady, who isn't due until the end of September. Last weekend she was rushed to the hospital and they're inducing her tonight because her blood pressure is too high and she's having severe migraines. I felt sorry for her since she wasn't able to finish preparing for the baby, and she was already stressed over her husband's health. So I decided to make her a set of shirts for big sister and baby girl. I've never done anything like these before so its my first attempt at embroidering for babies and kids.

How adorable! Very sweet of you to do!

I had to return a lot of stuff I got after my first baby was born - they told me after 2 ultrasounds it would be a girl. That baby is now a 19 year old boy and we give him sooo much grief over not being able to see anything on those ultrasounds, rofl!

They are adorable! Can I ask where you got the designs and what stabilizers you used?

Grace MooreLinker 08-30-2013 06:40 AM

absolutely adorable! Ugh! migraines! They totally incapacitate me. Don't get them often. Prayers from the gulf for her and her new baby recovery.

Cindy's adorable applique is where these came from I think, they're stitched on solid t from target and onesie from hobby lobby. I used cutaway in the hoop, pinned the shirts to the stabilizer, water soluble stabilizer on top, and floated a tearaway underneath. The shirt I didn't float that layer and had some issues. Worked better after that.

These are so cute, what embroidery machine do you have? The stitches look so good.

I have a viking designer ruby. Its just a single needle home machine. Once its paid off I'm looking to upgrade to a six needle.
