I learned many of those things and probably more. I got made fun of in the Army for mashing buttons instead of pushing them!

When you plug up the lights, extension cord or computer.....instead of plug it in.

And of course over yonder (any place but here) and carry someone to the store (instead of drive them to the store).

I understood every one of them. My family came from the south, and the older ones that are still living still talk this away. The ones that have passed, well,...I just smile when I remember the way they spoke. Sweet memories.

I have heard most all of these, I had neighbors from the south when I was growing up. My favorite was hearing her say she was going to "carry" me to the store :D:D:D

Gramie BJ Are you suggesting that any of these are NOT correct? I never heard of anyone talking about eating Northern food, but they sure talk about eating Southern food. Southern born & bred. lol
