Great photos!! Thanks for sharing. Are you, by chance, a professional photographer? Sure looks like it.

Yes, and note that the father is the only one with a helmet, hate to think about the poor little guy up front taking a header!

Don't know if you know this or not. Hindu custom says that a woman must not touch a Hindu man in public....so the ladies on the motorbikes do not hang on to the man operator...talk about dangerous! I have visited Guntur in Andhra Pradesh state and learned of many customs there that are so unlike our own. Ladies, whatever our personal circumstances, we American women are so fortunate.

Loved the photos, you DO have an artistic eye!

I wondered if you had any encounters (close or otherwise) with snakes? It seems everyone I know that has gone to India has had a snake experience. Since I am convinced that should I see a live snake my heart would truly stop (forever because I would not want to recall the event) I have Xed out India from our travel agenda.

Beautiful pictures. Many of them woould make nice looking fabric. To bad you could not find a fabric store. Even plain boring fabric would be great in a quilt coming from India.

Your pictures are thrilling as I am sure I will never go in person. Not quite what I expected either as have known people who went but either times are changing fast or they went to more primitive areas. I am sure this will bump up your creative edge a ton. Wish you could have found fabric. I have found beautiful fabric in the past in Indian restaurants. Maybe you didn't get to go to the right part of town because you know those ladies buy that beautiful fabric somewhere.

It looks like a nice place to visit. Thanks for sharing. Eiltcoq.

Yes, we did. We had to take off our shoes and socks, though, and leave them in the car. It was quite an interesting place.
