My new favorite author

I recently read her first two books in her Madeline Dare series:
A Field of Darkness
The Crazy School

Just downloaded and started book 3: Invisible Boy on iPad as my local library only has the first two books.

These are best read in order as there are references to previous stories but they can stand alone.
Her writing reminds me a little of Evanovich.

I download reading books and audiobooks from my state (Alaska) library system on Overdrive on iPad and iPhone. Check with your local library to see if they have bought in to the state library system in digital form. Very convenient over the internet and free. My system only requires a library card and pin number.

Yes, I do Overdrive through our library and enjoy it a lot. I use my Kindle for reading and my laptop for audio books while sewing. Thanks for sharing the author that you enjoy. I will look for those books. Always glad to get recommendations.

I have an MP3 player and listen while I sew. I love it that I can get up and walk around to the ironing board or the stove, and my player comes along with me. I get books from the library on Overdrive, too.

Not all books are available in this form, but there are enough to keep me listening for a while.

My favorite author is Louise Penny whose mysteries are set in Quebec, just over the border from Vermont.

My library offers magazines to download....and the keep. Fortunately they have American patchwork and quilter magazine I can download. Love it. I also like e books

We read Louise Penny for our book club. All the following books make the familiar characters feel like friends.

I have been reading Joanna Carl's series (chocolate mysteries) and Claire O'donohue (she writes quilt mysteries and other mysteries). I have Overdrive on my Samsung Galaxy A Nook. I love both (Overdrive and the Galaxy) - B&N ran a special where if you brought in your old Nook (I had a 1st gen version), you would get $30 or $40 off (can't remember exactly) and a cover.
