I saw this tutorial on the Missouri Star Quilt Company's website, and just had to try it. I have so many, pretty scraps of fabric lying around and it was a wonderful way to use some of it up.

i love your plates. i have made probably close to thirty, but not all with fabric.
i have used either photographs or photo copies.
i cut out just the center of either and modge podge it. then i take tissue paper and crinkle it, then flatten it a bit, and modge podge it. then when all is dry, i let sit overnight or longer i take a gold pen and go around the edge.
i made these plate of my daugher and son-in-law's wedding picture, also my great nephew's baby picture for their parents and grandparents. please try these as these make wonderful gifts.
