My PC has problems!

Or so said the caller that just called this morning!

I made sure the caller said that my WINDOWS operating system was having problems.

True, my old computer did go deader than a doornail about two weeks ago - but it was a Mac!!!

DO NOT let them take over your computer. Take it back to whoever you bought it from if you actually are having problems. Those callers load some spyware and other stuff on your computer that you do not want or need on there.

I got a call this morning too. Microsoft supposedly. the lady had an Indian accent and wanted to help me with my computer problem. I simply told her I had no computer. She said thank you and hung up.

I've gotten the same call from Ted (yeah, right) and he knows I'm having computer problems. At least I think that's what he said, couldn't understand him. Knowing it's a scam, I went into a long story about my husband leaving me for his 18 year old girlfriend and taking the computer with him and if I give Ted his password would he please get me all the banking info so I could get some money. I rambled on for a good 3-4 minutes until Ted hung up on me LOL!!

I just tell them I don't have a computer...then start a rant about how evil computers are...had 2 calls, they both hung up! LOL

If you have caller ID on your phone and it is not a phone number you are familiar with or has the name on the teeny little screen and you are not familiar with the company don't answer the phone. PERIOD - PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Once that phone is answered, you have added your name to another outfit that wants to scam you or sell you itch free long underwear in Florida. I caught on when the FBI called me and told me that I was in trouble. Yah, right!!!!!! So, I just look at the screen, and if it is not familiar, I don't answer it. Also, too, you may note that if you let your phone ring and the answering machine turns on and they hang up - you did the right thing. Then if they say, "Mrs. So and So, this is the telephone company........................................... ", or whatever, then you can pick up. I have gotten less calls since I just don't pick up the phone. It is worth it to have Caller ID in this day and age. Good luck to you. Edie

We get a lot of calls saying that the Gas & Electric Co. gave them my number and I may qualify for a rebate if I have solar panels installed. This upset me to think my G&E company would give out my information and phone number, so I wrote them an e-mail stating such. I was assured they never give out customer information, ever! So if I do get one now, and they tell me the G&E Co. gave them my info, I tell them that is not a true statement and why ever would I make such a large financial investment with someone that starts off by lying to me. Then I hang up.

Now I do what Edie does, it I do not recognize the number it does not get answered. If they want me they best leave a message. My daughter was traveling with a friend, her phone died so she texted me that she was using her friend's phone so to please answer the phone if she needed to call for some reason.

I told a guy once that I took my gun to my computer because it made me so mad and if the guy on the other end ever calls me again I'm going to hunt him down and he can look at the business end of it. He hung up but said he would let others know to put me on the "DO NOT CALL" LIST. LOL!!
