Congratulations and tell your son thank you for serving his country and keeping our freedom for us. You should be very proud and I don't blame you for bragging! Brag all you want. If we don't brag on our kids, who will.

That is great. My son served on the USS Ronald Reagan from 2002 to 2006. A big thanks goes out to all those serving their country.

No wonder you are proud of your son!

What a great story about a nice young man. Glad you are going to have him home for Christmas. Please thank him for his service from me.

I think it is a big deal. It is nice to know we have good men out there willing to protect our freedom. When he gets home, tell him how much we appreciate the job he is doing, give him a big hug from all of us, and tell him, thank you.
God Bless You and your Family.

My son is a First Class petty Officer-E6 on the USS Enterprise. But he has been in the navy longer than 4 years. He will be here with his family after Christmas since he has to leave in Jan. for another 6 month cruise. This is my youngest son's little boy.

It is indeed a hugely stellar big deal. The average time per rank is three years before you're even allowed to test for advancement unless you get the highest marks on evaluations and points for accomplishments, like he said. Tell him this E6 (Yeoman) is very proud to hear his news. This accomplishment speaks very highly of his character, work ethic, and leadership abilities. He has certainly set the bar for those he leads :) Hoo-Rah!!!!!
