This morning my husband was looking for Kola. He searched the usual spots, under the bed, on our bed, in the spare bedroom and the window sill in the study. She wasn't to be found. So he looks in my sewing room and there she is!!

My avatar is what I looked like when I seen her!!!!

She does this every so often, when I am working on a project. I usually try and not leave fabric out in the open. A few weeks ago she decided my fleece stash was the perfect spot to nap, I have since moved that to the top shelf of the closet and replaced the soft comfy stuff with a plastic container.

That's funny! She's got that "deer in the headlights" look. Cats tend to find the coziest spots to cuddle up in. So cute!

so cute, my shih tzu dog likes to cuddle up on soft blankets, yes he is spoiled, one day we left for town, forgot something, so I came back into house to get the cell phone and he comes running down the hallway, as he was laying in our bed, he got caught

he is allowed on the bed

Reggie, my 20 pounder male likes to wedge into my quilt rack. His favorite place is under the bathroom sink. I keep very little under there and put a towel down for him. Emmy changes places fairly often which creates a problem as I can not leave the house or go to bed without knowing where they are. I am always afarid I've shut them up somewhere. Emmy is so nosey.

Kola has her spots.

She is set in her ways about where she does her best activity....sleeping....lol

Kola looks like my Freddie, and he isn't allowed in my sewing room, but he loves to try to sneak in.

Ditter43 08-28-2010 11:44 AM

My cats used to do that. One would get up in the top of the closet and hide behind the fabric there....

Kola is allowed in there, she drives me bonkers when she lays all over my stash.

That is so funny!!

I share my sewing room with my 4 cats, after sewing I put everything away so they can'r lay all over it and get hair on it. So I guess they have made my less messy.

Annaquilts 08-28-2010 05:31 PM

Aaahahh..Who could be angry at a face like that. Is she hiding?

Rainy Day 08-28-2010 05:35 PM

Cats are evil creatures! I believe they are hairy alien beings, sent to test our minds, and torture us with their air of superiority!

My cats love my quilts. I keep them off the fabric and stuff for exchanges and RR. They can sleep on the quilts I'm making for family.

Boscobd 08-28-2010 10:00 PM

Doncha love it??!! Cats seem to find the best places to hide and revel in watching you look for them! I have to say that your kitty looks just like my folks cat Zoe.

I love your avatar - guess I look like that when my terrier Millie sneaks into my bedroom rearranges the quilt on my bed into a perfect 'nest' especially when we've come back from a walk and she is covered in sticky burrs, earth and anything smelly she has found to roll in!!!!

HELLuvvANGEL 08-29-2010 12:56 AM

I posted [pics of my cats in the fabric cupboard and on the mat. I now know what im going to do with a bunch of left over jean material... Make them a quilt each. Then maybe just MAYBE they will leave the WIPs alone lol prob not. LOL but i did love her reaction,,,, umm you woke me up now go away and let me get back to napping,, hehe

granniebj 08-29-2010 01:05 AM

Too funny! My dogs would love to get in my sewing room, but I keep them out. Seems like they always want to go where you don't want them!

My youngest daughter had a dog, chihuahua mix, he used to roll in everything he found. I recall we were moving back to Florida for a job and stopped at a rest area to have lunch and stretch. It was his turn to ride in the van (married to 1st husband then) while I followed in my car.
We all went exploring around the rest area, and down in a little gully was a dead fish. Well the dog couldn't resist and he ran down there, plopped down and rolled himself all in that smelly fish. I laughed because he was to ride with the kids Dad for the next 3 hundred miles.
I dug out the shampoo, and any other smelly perfume like stuff we had. And bathed him under a cold faucet near our vehicles. Poor guy was mad at me for days, he hated bathes, even as a pup.
