need a favor for family reunion
Getting ready for a family reunion. .... I need a favor for siblings ( in their 60's), their kids ( in their 30's) and little ones ( from 5-6 months)
We have used photo albums, bookmarks and books, koozies..., embroidered towels and dishclothes... I was thinking about water bottle covers... any body got a pattern.... or another idea... thanks. Quilter 1234 |
Water bottle holder sounds great. Humbug Bag(purchased pattern) or other small tote, wristlet, or zippered pouch? There's one called an Origami bag that uses 2 squares. How about drawstring or regular pillowcase? There are many free patterns on the web.

sounds like a great idea. sorry, don't have a pattern, though

Have you thought of potholders?
One thing my family did was wrap up lots of diff types of stuff in gift wrap. Then they had a skill type game that everyone did to earn pts. The wrapped items were dumped in the middle of the room and each member got to pick a present in order of pts. I was amazed at how well it worked. After everyone picked then they swapped with each other. The whole process ended up being huge fun. The kids are asking if the game will be at the next gathering. Game was a ring toss an aunt came up with. Even 2 yr old remembers it. |
Mug Rugs and/or Placemats .... fabrics according to the age of the recipient.
And for the wee ones keep with the theme and make ... bibs! :) |
Check out Pinterest and see if you can find some inspiration.

It's not quilting but what about towels cut up and made into washmits? You could do the same color for each little family within the bigger family and different sizes based on whether it's for a child or adult.

I would love to see you make for the older folks remote holders to be used on their favorite chair.
