Need help to find a sewing pattern
 

I have been reading the whole Quilting Board messages, questions, complaints and hoorays. I love it all. I hope to start some quilting very soon, as I will have the time to do so now. When I see the pics of quilts posted on hear, I sometimes get scared. I think, can I do this? I am going to jump ion with both feet, though. Anyway, back to why I am hear. I really need to find a sewing pattern for a army style jacket that as 4 pockets on the front. I need a size that has a 52inch chest.Does anyone have such a pattern that they do not want anymore? Thank you.

I think what you are looking for would be called an Ike Jacket, as in Eisenhower. There are patterns for it out there.

google Ike Jacket pattern or check on the vintage section of the large pattern company websites (and men's sections). Good luck and welcome!

Military Uniform Sewing Patterns

Eisenhower jackets (Ike) are usually a shorter jacket. Like hip length. Longer jackets with the pockets are field jackets or safari jackets. That might help you find a pattern.
