Need help identifying fabric...

I acquired a large amount of material this weekend and I have no idea what this fabric would be used for. It reminds me of the fabric that basketball shorts are made of. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :)

My first thoughts were of flags and placemats or tablerunners-- maybe something fun for Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day?

I'm sorry! I didn't ask very clearly! I'm thinking about selling this material, but I don't know it's original use. However, you have very good suggestions. I think I'll make a few pairs of basketball shorts for my daughter, but I must have 60 or more yards and all different colors and patterns. I don't think I could even make a dent in it.

How about making sewing/quilting totes with it? If you need to find out the content of the fabric check with your LQS. Looks like it might be a decorator fabric. How wide is it?

You could do a burn test to determine if it is cotton or polyester, at least. Put a small piece of it in a saucer and light it with a match. If it burns and leave ashes, it is cotton. If another just melts and bubbles, it is a polyester or man-made fabric.
