Need some feedback!
Good Morning all, I have decided to bite the bullet and get a new sewing machine. I'm in the process of looking, and comparing, and stressing out! I have a 9960 quantum now, so I'm looking for something with faster spm, and the ability to handle thick fabrics, also need a decent size throat. The new machine will be used mainly for quilting. I'm in the thousand or under price range. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Brother 1500 is what I have. It has a big throat area. Straight stitch only. It has needle up/down, knee lift, auto thread cutter, pin feed, extension table, all the quilting feet you need, and telescoping thread feeder. They are about $600 or even less. I would then buy the Eversewn Sparrow 30 for all the extra stitches and portability. It comes with ext table. It is about $400 or less.

I have the Juki 2010q, which is like the Brother above. I love it!!! I was not able to quilt on my other machine and this one quilted like a charm!
|
Nan, does the juki have good/throat space?

I love juki, was thinking about the hzl f600? Wonder if this would be a good machine. I'm so confused 😂
|
Narrowed it down to 3:
1. Juki tl2010Q 2.Janome 1600P-QC 3. Juki HZL-F600 If anyone can help me y this decision, I'd greatly appreciate it. My brain is tired!!!! |
Well I would say number 1 because I have that machine and love it!!! :)

I have a Juki with 9" throat and love it. Jukis are workhorses.

Yeah, think I'm going to get the juki. Thanks for the input!

i have a Janome 1600p and i just love that machine. a very good machine. it just does
straight stitch. |
I also have the Janome 1600P and love it. Because I have mine on a small quilt frame it's was little hard to thread for me, mainly because I was standing in front of it as it was turned sideways. When I take it off the frame to use for something special, it's so simple. Needle up, needle down, thread cutter and all straight stitch. What a work horse!!

For those of you with the 1600p, how is it for free-motion work?
