New bibs for the little ones!!

I use little towels to make bibs: they are pulled over the head, so there are no buttons or ribbons to close!!

And I "pimp" them up with some fabric out of my "1000" scraps!!!!

Really cute!

I used to make these for my grandson. I loved them. Pop it off, clean up the kid and table with the same towel and throw it in the wash. Can even make larger ones for adults.

Very cute! What size do you cut the hole for the head?

nygal 11-21-2013 07:31 AM

What kind of fabric do you use around the neckline? They all look so cute.

Kimkankwilt 11-21-2013 09:23 AM

Those are adorable. Do you use recycled t-shirts for the neckline?

tessagin 11-21-2013 09:38 AM

Hello, I use the kind of jersey they use as wristband on sweaters: I hope you understand what I mean.... Over here you can buy it meter per meter! This fabric is a little bit stronger than T-shirt jersey.

No, it's a special fabric made for example for wristbands!! It's a little bit stronger than the t-shirt jersey!

I cut the hole circa 5" x 3": it is a little bit oval!

bibs

Adorable. If you don't mind me asking, where in the world did you get the otter fabric? My 21 year old daughter is an otter fanatic!

Thanks
Peg

Hello, I got this fabric some years ago at my fabric store over here: I made some place mats for my daughter, she lives in SF and she sent me pictures of sea otters living in the pacific!!
But I don't know whether they have any of this fabric.... And I searched the internet but I don't find fabric like this....

Do you have the pattern to share or a tute? They are real cute. What do you use for the neck? These are so cute.

lorimax5859 11-22-2013 06:34 AM

I love them! We just had twins and I will "borrow" your idea. Thanks!

Your bibs are so cute with the custom fabrics and cute rib knit trim. I hAve made some, too, for my DGD, but I could only find the plain ribbing at JAF. Quick and easy and my DDIL really loved their easy care.
