My daughter bought my 8 year old grandson a nice set of Starwars Legos for Christmas (expensive I might add). He opened them and set them aside to open other packages. Later in the day, he sat on the floor with his new box of Legos and pulled a picture frame from the box and exclaimed, "What the heck!" He dumped the remaining contents on the floor which included another picture frame and a few Legos. We all stared in shock. What we concluded was someone had bought the Legos, took them out of the box, stuck the picture frames and a few Legos back in the box and returned them to the store to get their money back! Fortunately, Walmart let my grandson return the box with contents and get a new one. We were all thankful some small child had not received this box of Legos from Santa & not understood why there were two picture frames and a couple of Legos in the box instead of what was on the picture of the box. Some people.

It never ceases to amaze me how low-down some people can go. No conscience, no morals, no dignity, no class.

Back when I used to color my hair I found out (the hard way) that some people think it's hilarious to switch the bottles from box to box. I wasn't happy either.

Yes, people do that often. I bought a box of stuff to fix my bathroom sink and took the box a "helpful" clerk handed me. Turned out it was missing a lot of stuff that the list on the box said was inside. They took it back and the older man who helped me looked around and then suggested that I get boxes from the back of the shelf, and make sure it hadn't been opened. This was at Home Depot. Never saw that younger helpful clerk again. I have no idea of what was happening...but I will go there again since they are so nice about helping an old lady.

@#$%^& So THAT's why my next to last hair dye job looked so different!! Now I'll always check the insides too. Never thought to do that, never thought it would be necessary. It's sad, can't trust anyone these days.

My daughter received an i-pod from her boyfriend for graduation a few years ago. Came in a sealed box and when she opened it there was no ipod! Just some batteries and cardboard. I went with them to Wal mart. Surveilence camera showed him buying the Ipod from a locked case. rung up at that cash register too. turns out the sales person had used a manager override to avoid entering a serial number that's required. She was given another Ipod, opened right there, and I think someone was fired. thank heavens for camera's and receipts!

That is so sad!!!

Amazing, isn't it. At least your GS was old enough to understand!

Un-believable! I guess they need to beef up the way things are stored and packaged and the poor register clerks are going to have to check everything. I really wonder what kind of diabolical mind thinks of doing stuff like this. I'm so glad your grandson was able to purchase another box of legos.

I worked in retail for a large fabric store for 11 years. It's amazing what they allowed to be returned and put back on the shelf. Fabric!!! Sometimes it smelled so bad of cig. smoke too...just hung it in the back to air out and placed back on the shelves.
We should inspect everything before we make our purchase.
