That is wonderful. For a long time I used a coffee table I sure miss it it was the perfect height while I sat on the couch and the right width for my mat with extra room on both ends.

Yippee! Glad you found something that would work for you.

I completely understand your situation, as I have arthritis in just about every joint in my body, especially my lower back. I haven't been able to stand and cut fabric for years, as I would tire too easily, but I would use my kitchen table to cut and when we got new dining room furniture I continued to use the table, as it was great for supporting the quilt while quilting. Unfortunately, we could not bring it with us when we downsized, but I'd be interested in how the folding table works out for you. Thanks for sharing the information.

I use empty coffee cans ( the large size) to raise my cutting table . Also use them under my kitchen table ( with the leaf put in ) for making the sandwich, I can do a king size without problem and it saves my back. The cans put the table at about counter height.

Another way to raise a table are the plastic bed risers. Two under a banquet table brings it to about the same height as your purchased table. Or one, for a little lower. |
Congrats on getting a cutting table to save your back from pain!

Glad you found a solution to a problem that plagues many of us quilters.
Just a note of concern, sometimes a folding table has give in it if you press too hard when cutting fabric. Be sure your blades are sharp and check accuracy often. New blades can be a lot cheaper than more fabric for the wrong reasons. :0 kathyd |
