We brought home Cheeko - a 9 month old Pearl Pied Cockatiel on Saturday. He has stolen our hearts already :roll: I love birds and am super excitied about this new member of our family. Hope you enjoy his first picture!

Is he hand fed? He is young, are you teaching him words yet? Years ago I had a Bird Shop and raised Cockatiels:) Now I have a parrot that I love but he is so loud! He says.. I love you..Peek a boo... Hello.. He barks like the dog and other stuff:) Your bird is very pretty:)

Didn't start taking to me till i was about nine and could really take care of her myself, died a few years later, but at least I got a few years of bonding in

Yes, he was hand fed and has been trained to "step up". He seems to be settling in just fine - can tell already that he likes to be out of his cage :)

I have a Cinnamon Pearl, won't talk, must be a female, it started talking and copied some of my whistles, stopped and now only squawks. Name is Suky.
I had a female, she didn't know it and she talked, big vocabulary and several whistles, realized she was a female and stopped talking. Have fun with Cheeko. He fluffs up like he is cold.
