New kitchen floor.

The tear out begins in the morning and the kitchen will be off limits for 48 hours which is fine to me but the only way to my sewing room is through the kitchen. LOL It's like being on a diet and you suddenly crave everything you can't eat. I will survive.

Do you have a portable machine you can set up in another room for those two days? At least it is only two days. I'll soon be homeless for 7 weeks while my old house is torn down and the new one brought in.

I lived through no access to my sewing rooms, so can you. Be strong!!

Congrats on the new flooring.

I would be tempted top go visit my LQS!

I would carry my machine out of the room and put it in another.

There's no window you can crawl through? ;)

I would just bring it out for a few days but then there would something you forgot that you needed for the project in the sewing room! lol That would be me anyways. It will be worth the wait though for a beautiful new floor

Ok. Where ever you put your kitchen table is where I would set up a small sewing nook. My cousin belongs to a guild and had a kitchen redo for 3 months. Eveything she took to guild she used in a spare bedroom.

I agree with the others. Get yourself some wine and THEN visit a LQS. Hehe.....then you aren't responsible for falling off a moratorium wagon for not purchasing more ;)

Perhaps move a machine and your needed supplies for a make-shift sewing spot until your new floors are done~~ :)

No kitchen table, just move the fridge out. I went to a sew day today, so guys are almost done laying the ceramic. Spending the night with DD and going back to sew day in the morning. I think I'll make it! Bad news. Can't find the match for the tile in the laundry room. Oh well, we are selling the house anyway. LOL

I would gather up some quilting magazines and a hand sewing project and retreat to an area that is not under construction!

Yes, you always miss what you can't have. Maybe a little hand sewing will help.
