A new lunch/grocery shopping experience

Daughter invited me to meet her at a relatively new store in area......called cosmopolitan.........and certainly was! Very sophisticated....black/ silver with lovely crystal lighted designs hanging from ceiling thruout the area....also a very chic niche again in black and silver eating area.....good menu, very reasonable and good tasting food.....so we had lunch then strolled thru the grocery section.........very subdued, quiet, not all straight rows...sort of like meandering thru a garden.....prices were lower than our local stores...even some things from Walmart/aldi.......I had FUN shopping for groceries......my final bill was a bit over $50, so was given a 5%disc. And since a first time shopper, a large plastic woven black/ turquoise tote was my gift from Cosmo!!!!!!!!i am really quite positively impressed with the employees politeness, willing to help, the ambiance of the store....and will definitely be back...both for the menu at the cafe and the groceries/prices........now having a tea party with GGD with walnut caramel muffins we bought there...yummy!

Never heard of this store before. Sounds like fun shopping for groceries.

Sounds really fun, would I be correct in guessing you are located in the northern suburbs of Chicago? Would love to see this in our suburbs :)

Judy in Phoenix, AZ

Wow! As much time spent in the grocery store, this sounds like a more pleasurable trip---wish there was one in this area.

Someone had fun shopping for groceries? I didn't know that could happen! Congratulations!

Nothing like that around here. I'd patronize it.

Sounds like you enjoyed the time, and will go back. Glad you found a new place to experience! :)

We could really use that store here in S. Florida.....it would be very successful......

Just looked it up on the web....looks fabulous! Glad you had a good experience there.

Wow...may have to check it out, looks like it is in Aurora. I'm 3 hours south of there but we take my MIL back north on occasion to visit people. I think she would enjoy this.

Wow, tell them to open some in Colorado!

hudgoddess 09-21-2015 05:21 AM

Lucky you! Hope the stores spread like crazy!

Sounds great to me too. We don't have anything like that in our area either that I'm aware of. Wished we did.
