Well ladies, my son is back in Iraq, had to leave 2 days early. Didn't get to go get new machine. So to my surprise, my daughter took over the task and bought what she thought was the best one. It said quilting and being a non quilter, she thought "this is it". She got a computerized Brother SQ9000. It's a nice sewing machine, not the high end type, but it sews well and quietly, has 80 built-in stiches , large table and quilt stitchs and free motion quilting. There's 120 stitch functions, monograms and sews without the foot with the push of a button. I'm very proud of it because she thought enough to get me one. :D I think I perfer the up close machine quilting to the long-arm, but OH, MY BACK!!! CAN YOU GET BEN-GAY BY TH CASE???????

Try Aspercream!! It doesn't smell.
Or better yet, those stick on pads, that when exposed to the air become warm, awwwww, they fell so good, and last about 8 - 10 hours. |
I wish your son all the best and a safe return. Congradulations on your new machine!! I LOVE my Brother! May you have many, many, creative masterpieces produced by her (him?)!!!
