I was called Linnie Carol when my Mother was mad at me and Carolyn Elaine (last name) when she was really mad at me! I learned to hate nick names.
named my son Warren hoping no one could make a nick name out of it, but kids would come over wanting "worm" to come out to play! later on they called him Willie because his last name was Wilson! can't win for losin!!!

Grandpa called Mom Dino. Then he started calling me the same.

I have an Aunt Boots, Aunt Tiny, Aunt Bill (yes, a female!), Aunt Dot and an Uncle Junior. I love Hillbillies!

I'm from NYC, but a childhood best friend was Chickie! I didn't think nick names could come from Arlie, but my daughter goes by Arls or (LMAO--) Thuglee!!!

I am either Trish, Patti-Anne or as my husband started, Lacey....
So, what will my grandma name end up being??

My family calls me Chelle, although my Dad called me Hoppy Toad for a while. My children are called Jo (Shauna), M.O. (Emily), Tater (Taylor), and Dilly Doodle (Dylan). My Dad was Fritz and my sister is Coley.
My Aunt Karen is called "Pie Face" by her hubby (cause her face is so round). She calls him Smoochy. He says it with so much love on his face and in his eyes. I can't help but smile when I hear/see this exchange between them.

My FIL calls the three DILs "My Girls"

In this house, Yes. My son Darby is PoPo. Daughter Brianna is Nanna, Daughter Emily is Bethany Marie. Think the only one with out a nickname is Kimberly. She is simply Kimmy. In public.

At home My children are refered to as: Pumpkin butt, Dehlila, Midget, Georgous, Beautiful, and Love.

My husband NEVER calls me by my name, and the whole internet community knows me as Clover.

Endearing names, but to the person wearing them, they can be painful. My daughter always called her brother, Baby Brother. Kids in the neighborhood still refer to him as Baby Brother...he is 39 yrs old. He does have a proper name but not one many have heard on a man. Maybe BB would have been alright to call him.

My dh grew up in Oakland CA & I grew up in Michigan so we just went by "normal" nicknames - Larry for Lawrence & Jan for Janet. However, we met in TX so one day as as joke I referred to him as Larry Bill (his name is Lawrence William). 32 yrs later I still call him Larry Bill & that is how he signs notes to me. The 1st time his mom heard me call him that she thought it was the strangest thing she had ever heard!
