Nifty Gifts for Sewing Guild Members

2 Attachment(s)
Several years ago, while attending the Sewing Expo in WA, I went to a dinner sponsored by the Puyallup WA chapter of the American Sewing Guild and at our place setting was a kleenex holder with ASG 25 embroidered on it, celebrating ASG's 25th year.

I am going to the annual sewing guild meeting in Tacoma WA this weekend and I always make a gift to give to everyone at my table so this year I decided to make the same kleenex holders celebrating ASG's 36 years. I found the kleenex at Walmart so made holders to match the kleenex colors or patterns. Too much fun!

I recently made a lot of these, but never have seen the printed Kleenex.

Neat!!

I love printed kleenex - I used to do a lot of papercrafting & collage and those are great because you can peel the layers apart and use just the colored layer for all sorts of stuff. It's all over around holidays (I love Halloween tissue in particular, especially if there are owls) and I've found it in places like Dollar Tree year-round. JoAnn's usually has some with their seasonal decoration stuff.

Not sure I've ever blown my nose on any of it, though! Too pretty for that! LOL

These are just darling!! What pattern did you use and did you use fabric or ribbon to embroider onto? I want to make some for our church bazaar, so would appreciate any instructions you can provide. Thanks for sharing.

Wish I was sitting at your table!!! LOL I also haven't seen the printed tissue but you sure did a great job of match work. Hope you got to use up a lot of your stash and not have to purchase too much of it!!! Thanks for sharing. Your gift will be pleasantly accepted.
