Well, no power since yesterday....
So, since it is 30 degree in house now we are at the hotel with Bailey. Whole new experience for him. At least they took us! We have a suite and Bailey is not to sure of it. Here's kids running upstairs.....But, at least we are warm....For those of you who have ordered labels....please be patient.. They will get done. Just don't know when... Thanks Karen |
Atleast you have a warm place to stay.
Hope you get your power restored soon!! :D:D:D
Enjoy your 'mini-vacation' and order room service for breakfast if you're still there!
Did you have any hand quilting to bring along or your unplanned retreat?
Glad you have a warm place to stay. Is the weather the cause of the power outage? |
No. I don't do hand quilting. Brought a book...Bailey is finally settling down...People are loving him to death!.....Only problem is we are on the 3rd floor, so it's downstairs to go out...Brrrrr. No electricity do to storm.....You should see how many families are here.
Bailey was downstairs in the "family rm" with me and just me and a man sitting there....Well, Bailey went behind the couch and gave him a big kiss on the head in back....Thank goodness the guy thought it was funny.... |
So sorry. Glad you have a hotel room and some entertainment. Cute av!
There is nothing better than doggie kisses :D :D
I'm sorry for you and all the others who are suffering through this storm. Just stay put, stay warm and be safe.
Glad you're safe.
I hope your electric is restored soon. That is my biggest worry in the winter time.
Our power was off the other morning, got up and was going to make coffee, no power....went back to bed!!!
Hope you're back home by now. Ours went out from the storm but was only out 2 hours. We also have a wood burner, so don't worry about having to leave. It's funny how dependant we become to electricity. Even with all the candles, when we'd walk into another room we'd flip on the light switch. I was planning on sewing but by the time the electricity was back on I didn't feel like it.
Sorry you are out of power....we live in the woods and loose power from time to time. Finally bought a whole house generator because we were at the end of a line...and it took awhile for them to get us back on line....big sub divisions and things were done first. Now I never worry about it. Stay safe and warm...it to shall pass.
So sorry you are stuck with this situation. I can so relate as we were without power for four or five days a few years ago. We had to drive to Boomington from Elkhart because there were no hotel rooms close by. I think there were maybe 60,000 homes without power due to the ice storm. It was so cold that the ice cream in our garage freezer did not melt over those days. We used a fondue pot to heat water and such before we finally bailed out and came down to stay with relatives. Glad you were able to find a place to stay warm and praying that it doesn't last too long.
Hope the electicty is on SOON!

I know what your going through, when our power goes out for maybe one or two day's,we are thinking about a generater that runs on gas.We live up over 7200FT in the middle of knowhere.

I feel for you. In 98 we had a 3 days ice storm and were without power for 7 days, some parts of Maine for much longer. In early January being without heat can be life threatening. We had no extra cash for a hotel plus all of them were filled. The cold just gets right into your bones on days like that. I hope your power comes back soon Karen.
Hope you power comes back soon. Glad you and family are safe.
Praying for an end to the power outage! And to the bad weather that brought the problem in the first place.
We are colder than usual here in St. Louis, and I don't like it! |
Remember having to spend a long day and night several years ago i my apt. due to a situation like yours, but didn't go to motel--should have.
Bailey is cute as can be. What breed? A bichon?
Bailey is a "Old English Sheepdog"
SO cute. What does he weigh?
So glad you are safely tucked in somewhere warm and cozy. Don't wory about the small stuff, enjoy an unexpected mini vacation
Glad you are safe and warm. Hope all goes back to normal soon for you. We'll be getting it soon enough up here in Massachusetts. YUK !!! DH just bot a roof rake , hope it is long enough to reach the roof w/o having him use a ladder. With age and medical issues he shouldn't be up on a ladder.
worry, worry. |
Thank goodness your able to stay warm. Hope your able to get your power on soon.
so sorry Karen hope you can get back to a warm house asap !!!
