Nosy Bears

Not a "quilt" but rather an afghan that I crocheted - many, many years ago, but now there is a new grandaby coming and my daughter specifically requested it. Thought I would share it.

So cute! you stated that it isn't a quilt, well yes I'd say it is only it's a crocheted quilt. I prefer to think of afghans as quilts just using a different technique an textile source-crochet and thread. Lucky daughter and n little one. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for the compliments. I wish I could share the pattern, but I got it out of a women's magazine about 28 yrs ago and have no idea which magazine it was. I only remember the name of the pattern/afghan was Nosey Bears. Sorry.
|
Lucky grand baby!! This is the cutest crochet I have ever seen! Congratulations on being a grandma...so much fun!

In 1987 or 88, this pattern came out in a Woman's Day or Family Circle, I believe. My mom and I were supposed to work on this together for my then just-born daughter. Well, she "tried" a block to see how it went together. Next I heard, it was done. My daughter LOVED LOVED LOVED it. It was the only afghan she would use. Each night, she had to kiss each of the 30 bears good-night. It is a wonderful project.
