So, I went to the town Parade today. I sat in the sun, cause I wanted to balance out my other arm so that it would at least look like it matched the car window arm.
Now I have a sun burn on my shoulder... and probably else where... and it itches... so not cool. I was scheduled for a sun burn next Saturday while at the beach! ;) |
Put Aloe gel on it , that will help take the sting out of the burn
Thanks! :D
You could also add some vinegar to your bath water and soak for awhile, that always seemed to help me. I did it before I put the aloe on.
I agree with Rapture Ready. When I was a teen, vinegar was all we knew. Hadn't heard of aloe then.
Yes my grandmother always put vinegar on us when we were kids too.
if you don't have any aloe or vinegar, you can use tea
SUN BLOCK 295! LOL from the pre-sun block sun burn queen
OH! Don't forget Ibuprofen (if you can take it),an anti-inflamatory to work from the inside out.
Baking Soda

My BF alwaysswears by Noxema! We are both really burnt from the parade today!
I can't use sun block, there's something in it i'm allergic to...
The IBuprofen I can do... I probably will when I go to bed... but it's not that bad... just itchy a bit... Then again, there is a good deal of sweat and dirt offer it, but I was busy helping with things... and yadda yadda yadda. My grandmother always had aloe plants, but the last of them have died off... So I either use aloe gel or lotion... depending on whats available. I've never used vinegar or baking soda, I'll try that next. Thanks!! Is there a difference if I used cider vinegar? |
Ask your Dr for a prescription for Silverdine cream. It's for burns. Welders use it for burns. It takes the pain away from kitchen burns and excellent for sunburns. I keep big container of it in the fridge. Usually one application is all it takes.
