Congrats on the new additions. I wish the families the best. My husband and I are also onlies and hoping for grands someday.

Congrats on the new additions.....are you close enough to enjoy them often?
|
My daughter and two beloved grandkids (ages 7 and 9) live 800 miles away. I hate being so far away from them. I didn't think we'd have any more grandchildren as my son and his wife were not sure they wanted children, but they changed their mind and in April blessed us with a new grandson. And this one lives just 40 miles away, so I get to cuddle him every few weeks. New babies in the family are a true blessing and worth celebrating! I made a pile of receiving blankets and burp cloths. The quilt isn't done yet but should be wrapped up soon, and I'm also working on bibs. And I'm planning his Christmas stocking. Enjoy every minute of sewing for those babies.

great news! Have to admit I'm a little jealous--my DS has 3 boys and they are delight despite not living close and my DIL is a trial--but my DD is trying to get pregnant and so far (started trying about year and half ago) no luck :( I feel so bad for her and afraid to talk too much to her about it...

I have to tell someone.....I am going to be blessed with a great grandchild in the early part of next year. I am 81 and a cancer survivor and was not sure I would ever see this day.
|
I hope to see these babies as often as possible. We do live in the same city. I am 84 years old so I won't be able to actually babysit like I did with the grandchildren (6 of them), but I will hold and cuddle them as much as possible!

Blessings to you and your family. What JOY!

Grandkids and great grandkids are the best. I helped raised a granddaughter but all the rest are taken care of. At 71 I will not babysit more than a few hours, I paid my dues. Grandkids are grown.

You are so blessed!

Happy times for all. Congratulations.
