And now the concert......
Yes, for those of us in the UK (and of course the rest of the Commonwealth), yesterday was the pageantry of the Jubilee flotilla, and today is the concert.
If you get a chance to see on TV or Youtube, it's another marvellous bit of televisual entertainment. Although the Queen doesn't look quite so happy and relaxed as she did in the rain on the river. |
Maybe from her vantage point it's just loud and throbbing....I feel at way at our local Friday Night Cheers on the waterfront. Getting old, you know.

We only got short clips of it here but it looked lovely.

I've often wondered what it would be like to be the Queen.
Wonder if ever her feet hurt so badly she can hardly stand it? |
I was just watching the news...she probably is not too happy because Prince Philip is in hospital for kidney infection. Can't wait...they will be showing tonights concert on tv here tomorrow night.

What a wonderful week of Celebrations ... so sad that Prince Philip has been hospitalized. The Queen will indeed be sad and missing him in the events today and tomorrow. |
She just amazes me....she's got so much stamina!
Enjoy the celebration!! :) |
Well, also, her husband was in the hospital with a bladder infection so he wasn't there with her---maybe she was worried about him.

Mom and I watched the pagentry this morning. Loved the flyover of the airplanes. The queen smiled when she saw those planes. Has a lovely smile.

Long live our gracious Queen.
