I know just what you mean. I loved summer as much as my kids. Homework can be a killer. My DGD is learning to read in kindergarten. What happened to learning your ABCs and counting.

OOh that is stinky! But it sounds like you two are gonna have a great weekend! Lucky gals!!

Homework here is a hassle too. My 5th grade DD has a booger of a time w ith math as well. And I am ashamed to admit, I have no clue how to do alot of her math. I have hired a straight A 8th grader to help her in math. I am soo looking forward to summer. Better get a tutor lined up for next year too..

LMBO! :) I can't wait for school to be out either! Then I can sleep in! I do get more homework then what my Mom had. Which is insanly crazy!! LOL.

I love to teach math!! (well, and reading, writing and science) I teach 5th grade now, but I taught algebra to GED students years ago. What concepts are you covering now? Seriously--if you get stuck--we could wrok it out via email... mine is on my website below. At least I could make you laugh and avoid a headache.
As a mom I hated it when my kids had homework--so I don't give too much. I'd rather the kids played outside after school. They have to read each night, and might have 1-2 pages of math, that's it. Most days they have time to get math started before they leave so I can help them if they're fuzzy. Good luck!! |
