This has to be one of the best singles ads ever printed. It is reported to have been listed in the Atlanta Journal. Love the response this ad got!! SINGLE BLACK FEMALE seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I'm a very good girl who LOVES to play. I love long walks in the woods, riding in your pickup truck, hunting, camping and fishing trips, cozy winter nights lying by the fire. Candlelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. I was in that shelter few weeks ago ( after my 15 black lab died) they had 20+ black lab puppy's they do need homes

Black dogs are often left unadpoted at the shelter or pound. We got a "used" black Lab mix from some people at our church who were traveling a lot and finding it difficult to take care of Missy. She had originally been dumped at the pound years ago, expecting a litter of pups. We've had her now for 6 years, and at 16 she's showing her age and slowing down. But her sweet nature remains the same. We'd definitely consider another black Lab in the future.

My big black pit/lab (?) mix is dumber than dirt but so incredibly loving! Black dogs need homes too!

my favorite cat EVER was all black - there was no one quite like him. He even won over my DH, who was not a pet person.
