One layer of Insul-Bright enough?

Hello,

I have a pattern for potholders that calls for 1 layer of Insul Bright and that is it. No other batting. Is this enough? Thanks!

i used one layer on my iron caddy, but it also called for a layer of batting with it

I would say that you definitely need another layer of a cotton batting ... or maybe even two?

I usually sandwich my Insulbrite between 2 layers or regular 80/20 batt.

I use two layers of cotton batting and one layer of Insulbrite in my potholders.

I use insulbrite and one or two layers of Warm and Natural. Also I have learned (lately) to add about 1/4" or so, to the binding, so that it goes around the edge and has room to sew it on comfortably.

I use two batting and 1 insulbrite.
