So different! love the colors too!
|
That's really pretty. Did you come up with the design yourself? I really like the colors, very Southwest!
|
It's beautiful.
|
The colors are pretty close to the picture on the pattern. I like this design, but I think it will be a long time before ordering any more from where I got the pattern.

Very pretty. I love the colors. I was a little confused at the beginning of the thread.

When first I heard about the pattern, I said that I own many of their patterns and have never had any trouble, but ... I guess I own them, but have never used them! (am I the ONLY quilter like that??? LOL) The one + was: It only cost $7.00 for the pattern, but over four dollars for S & H. sorry to bore you with my WHINING .... again <g> <wave> |
You have done a good job, so far!
Have you decided whether you are going to add the triangles on the side? Right now, with a bit of a border, the quilt is big enough for my veterans' lap robes. (still thinking ....) <wave> |
I was going to, but I don't have enough of the turquise material to do so. I need to add something more though to make it wider. Will try to get something maybe tomorrow, or may find something in my stash, I hate to put anymore money in it.
|
Well, you fixed my problem! <wave> I ran out of the turquoise, also ... the triangles at the side are an odd size.
I went through almost all of my template rulers and, as usual, there are no definitive angles ... 1 degree on an angle can do so much! So, based on what is going on with your quilt and my lack of fabric, I guess I will call it a day on the quilt and finish it off ... to be quilted (some day <g>) <wave> Thanks for the encouragement ... know what I may do is ... do the very outside border for my final border.  thinking <wave> |
I decided to try the rust color for the triangles - it looks good together, but don't know how it will look on quilt - I really don't care for that light of material on the sides, but I'm not the designer.

Do you know how to use the template and your rotary cutter to cut the triangles? |
Yes I can cut the triangle ok. What are you going to do with your quilt?
|
I make my quilts for hospitalized veterans and Veterans' facilities. I am a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the main reason I joined was to be part of an organization that had as its focus - - Veterans and the Military. <wave>
The size I use works well as a cover on their beds while laying down, and when folded in half, works comfortably in a wheelchair. |
