I just got done editing my photos in my online photo album. I've gotten many comments and asking where i got the patterns, etc. so i went in and edited, usually saying there was no pattern or where i found the info for what i made. whew! now that's done.
I don't use facebook so it was difficult to reply. This way hopefully viewers will see my comments when looking at each photo.
so if you have an online photo album, perhaps you should edit yours too, including more info. it does help.

I find myself lost again as to what this is!

nativetexan 01-06-2011 08:14 AM

lost?? well when people view online photo albums, they can post comments. you then get an email and can go see what they posted there. i can't reply to them because it goes into Facebook and i dont' remember my password.
so i put information under all my quilt photos telling how i made it or where i got the pattern from, etc.
Fellow quilters like to know everything! does that help?

Great pointer. Like the added comments - it makes it easier to remember how it was made or from which pattern.

I did not even know online photo albums existed or maybe I just didn't know what they were called...

really, well there are lots. photobucket, webshots and many others. they are free and a good way to share your photos with others without having to post a photo in a forum if you dont' want to.

I agree, it's wonderful to view someone's photos and read something about the photo. I like to put the name of the quilt, the quiltmaker's name and either how I quilted it, what designs and if I used purchased designs, the name of the pattern designer. However, I seldom have the name of the quilt, even when I ask the customer the name - they don't always remember. But still a very good idea.

I just watched a slideshow of your photo album. You are a marvel to me!! Where do you find the time to make all this stuff?

You have done some very different ideas with backings that I think are amarvelous way to use up scraps.
Congratulations!!! In my book you are a master quilter.

I on the other hand don't even know how to post pix to the internet!!
