my 3 kids are teenagers still living at home. i hope they never live very far away. i am in washington state and my entire family is in NC and Va. I sure do miss them.

No I don't....mine is up a flight of stairs......sometimes good...sometimes not so good.....oh well God has a reason...lol

My oldest boy (32) lives in Sydney with his wife and my only grandbaby. I live 1000 miles north of them in Central Qld, but I see them at least once a year.
My two youngest sons live and work in Amsterdam together. Jimi has been away for nearly 3 years and Mick joined him a year ago. I went to visit them last November.
The both told me 'we are never coming home, mum' . The joys of dual citizenship and the EU. So guess I will just have to keep visiting them. Not hard to do :)
I am completely kid free now. It not all good for me, but they are all happy.

My oldest son and grandchildren live in VA. We do Skype also. My youngest son lives half an hour away. It really is hard having them so far away but my son is very good about sending pictures and phone calls ect. We try to see them at least 3 to 4 times a year.

Yes, in Seoul, Korea. She is coming home this summer. I am so excited, we quilt together.

When I was growing up we were here in Illinois. My mom's parents were in Southwest Virginia. Every long weekend of my life as soon as Dad got home from work on Friday night we were in the car. Dad would drive 10 hours after driving a truck at work all day so Mom could visit her family Saturday and Sunday and then on the Monday holiday we'd drive home so he could go to work on Tuesday. Mom really missed her family and wanted to visit but would never learn to drive and do it herself.

Going to Ft Worth next weekend to visit My dd & sil can hardly wait haven't seen since Christmas.

Oh I know the feeling! My youngest son lives in Japan and has no plans of returning :(
He loves everything about it and is getting married in 2 weeks. But the wedding is in Hawaii and we are all excited to go!!
My other 2 live in the states, TG!!!!!!!! :D:D

My oldest son and DIL live only about a 2 1/4 hour drive from me. They are expecting their first baby. My youngest son and DIL live in China. My son was home in April, to see his aunt just before she passed away from cancer, then in May he was home for 48 hours when my mom (his grandmother) passed away. October they were home for her sister's wedding, so they didn't come home for Christmas. It was my first Christmas without him here, so a sad day for me, but also a happy day when I found out from my oldest I was going to be a grandma. I think they were a little homesick at Christmas. He called to get recipes from me for things that are traditional for our Christmas morning breakfast. Then he called Christmas eve and Christmas morning. They think they are going to sign up for one more year there. With all the thing going on in the world right now I would really like them home on USA soil.
