... so think happy thoughts!

Can't wait!!! Our local TV station told us that this morning there were over 275 schools closed today.

I will not share that news with my kids. They would be way too disappointed!

joan_quilts 01-20-2011 07:51 AM

Oh yay! So that means the storm we are getting tonight, 3-5 inches of snow, should be one of the last ones? That IS my happy thought! LOL

I thought the list scrolling on the bottom of the TV screen was going to go on forever this morning. Even most of the colleges closed today, which never happened when I was going to college.

Yeah, 9.5 inches here in Central Missouri. Looks beautiful and I LOVE snow days but the shoveling is going to kill me. May just wait for Grampy to come on the tractor!

And I am so very ready for spring. We had snow here all day today but no delay or early dismissal for my school corp. It is supposed to start blowing tonight and the temps are to drop to near zero. I am getting really tired of this.

Are you kidding. It is never Spring here until May

I am so ready for Spring !!! :)

Yep me too, already planning the garden, and what new flowers to plant, moving the strawberry patch, need to thin out the blackberries before spring, cant wait to sit on the dock and do some fishing! Cant wait! I went out yesterday to do some snow shoveling, the little birds were frantically feeding at the bird feeder, they didnt care if I was there or not. I will miss the snow its so pretty and you can see so much more wildlife up against the snow. But man suiting up to go outside is such a pain, it takes 15 minutes just to bundle up.

I cant wait! Were supposed to have wind chills of 20- today. YICK! I am SO looking forward to playing in my garden, green grass and bare feet, and RUMMAGE SALES!

The sun hasn't shown here due to fog in a week. I'm not much for cold weather, especially in California.

Mamagus 01-21-2011 05:04 AM

But, but, but.... we haven't had any snow yet!! And YES I live in Canada! On that triangle shaped island stuck out there on the east coast. Latitude 48 degrees NORTH! Strange winter!

Favorite Fabrics 01-21-2011 09:37 AM

What?? You're fairly far north in Canada, and no snow?

I have lots here today and it is still coming down. Matter of fact... I'm sitting here shivering in our back room, where we have snow on the INSIDE of our door. And it's not melting either.

(Cheap-o landlord. No wait, I can't call him cheap, he gave us a bouquet of flowers for Christmas. Maybe I would rather that he had given us weatherstripping.)
