We have several deer that graze with our horses.....always fun to watch.

OH, so lovely.
we recently had a friendly neighborhood Elk shot by a policeman, who then called his buddy with a truck and a camera to take his pic with the antler spread. I think he's about to be fired. he never told his supervisor about shooting his weapon. sometimes men can be so stupid.

That is so neat. We have no wild animals to watch, except the squirrals, and birds.

Hope that your garden is well protected, since they are used to eating at your house! Isn't it wonderful to be visited by nature? We love seeing the deer, sand hill cranes and turkeys in our back yard.

After living in the San Juaquin Valley (no deer), we moved to the Sierra Nevada's near Yosemite. We have deer! Sometimes large groups 6-16. I can watch them for 30 min or more. There's a small landscaped area around the house and I'm learning what's on the "deer proof" list. But somehow, the deer haven't read the list. Love my plants and love the deer.

They are lovely to watch, but I thought you could not feed deer in Wisconsin. If I remember correctly several years ago while we were still in Wisconsin they banned deer feeding due to chronic wasting disease. Fines for that aren't cheap either!

We have deer in our suburban neighborhood, that leave the nearby golf course and feed on all of my plants I have in my front yard. They even walk right through our front yard and down our busy street in broad daylight while we are standing right there! They ravaged all the blossoms off of my petunias and impatients, and most of all, my sweet potato vines! They even jump the fence in our yard and destroy those gardens too. Deer repellant doesnt work either! Guess I have to stick with begonias only, since they are the only plants they didn't eat! I love dear, but after three years of this, I'm getting frustrated.
