Here is a pic of Mrs. Robin sitting on her nest she built on our deck. She is getting used to us going out on the deck, but we are careful and talk to her as we open the door and go out.
Hopefully I'll be able to capture pics of the eggs, birds etc as time goes on. I don't want to disturb her more than we have to though.

We have a pair of doves that come and nest on our back porch. This will be the 3rd summer. I bought a hanging plant the 1st yr we moved into our home and the pair immediately made a nest in it and killed the plant since I couldn't water it. The plant is long gone but not the birds. They are there from early spring until late fall laying, hatching and raising 2 babies at a time (at least 5 hatchings a season). This spring a bluejay had been bothering them (the jay loves the dog food bowl which is below the nest) so I moved the nesting planter to the other side of the porch and so far it's working. My DH said the jay is still bothering them some so we may have to figure out a way to "remove" the bluejay.

We have a birdhouse out our back door which is a cat and the hole is the mouth. Ever since we put it up, it constantly has residents.

This year while doing dishes I saw a blue-jay land on the mouth and stole one of the babies. I used to love seeing them but not as much any more! I didn't realize they did that.

Shes so pretty! I love watching the birds too, put some houses outside my kitchen window. I can watch them while I do dishes! I have some tree swallows in there now!

Stick a web cam up there and we will all watch her hatch babies!

Looks like a nice sheltered place for her and her babies.
