That was the first part of my quandry and after struggling with it emotionally, I thought well sometimes you just gotta say "oh heck with it". After so many years of being the "good" guy and watching employee's around me take several weeks (in total) of sick time ... ARGH ... I convinced myself I was "due" just one day.

It just happens now to be a REALLY bad day, instead of just a "bad" day.
