How do you keep the feathers intact? I have never seen feather painting before, but you sure have impressed me.

Thanks everybody for the nice comments... It took me a while to not be so heavyhanded, which is the key to getting the feather not to split. Sometimes it does anyway, so I look at it as part of it's character.

I met a lady at M. D. Anderson hospital in Houston that painted on turkey feathers. I think she was from Oregon. They are beautiful.

Very beautiful and detailed. My SIL painted on tiny saw blades and rocks. Feathers, who would have thougth. Again very beautiful.

Great job on the feathers. Do you mind telling me if you use acrylics? I have several different mediums, and have worked on all kinds of surfaces, and just wondered if maybe you had used liquid acrylics?

Wow! Those are fabulous. You are quite an artist. I grew up collecting American Indian art and still love it. Have many things from different reservation artists. Do you ever sell these or are they just for your own enjoyment?
