I hope you like this. I just finished it at 10:53 this evening (5/30/201)

It is an old pattern made with a size 6 steel crochet hook

Beautiful. You don't see much of these anymore. It sure takes a lot of work.

It is beautiful. My fingers refuse to work with small crochet threads so I am stuck with yarn scarves and hats. My mom did this kind of work. I have some of it framed and a few on table tops. You did a great job on this.

barny 05-31-2012 05:21 AM

Beautiful work! I haven't seen crochet this delicate in many years. My MIL used to do this kind of crochet, and even made a bedspread once. I love it.

Beautiful. Glad to see this craft continues. My grandmother always made us dollies for Christmas gifts. It wasn't exciting when you are 7, 10, or 13 years old, but as an adult I totally treasure them. Each of us grandkids (13) got a full tablecloth for our dining room tables as the years went by. That, too, is really special to me.

Keep up the good work.

It's beautiful. I used to do quite a bit of thread crochet and can appreciate what went into this.

quiltsRfun 05-31-2012 09:57 PM

Looks just like the picture. I love crocheted doilies. My grandma made hundreds of them and gave them to all her granddaughters.

tesspug 05-31-2012 10:35 PM

My grandmother and aunt made beautiful doilies. Yours is gorgeous.

bibi 06-01-2012 07:13 AM

Lovely, I did this one several years ago. There aren't too many of us doily makers left. Have you seen the software for crochet? I love this one. Check out: CrochetDesigns.com

That is so beautiful. I know the work that you have put into it as I used to crochet doilys and tablecloths years ago even lace hankies..... but them my eyes were better. The pattern is so lovely. Thanks for sharing...Bea

Lovely! Is it a vintage pattern, or new? I couldn't tell from the picture.

MimiBug123 06-01-2012 09:25 AM

So pretty and dainty! It reminds me of my grandmother's home. What a peaceful and happy place.

JanieH 06-01-2012 11:28 AM

It is fabulous! Are you going to frame it? That's what I'd do with it! Boy, seeing something this beautiful makes me wish I could crochet!

I'm the same way. Years ago I had an interior design kinda store & at an estate sale, we picked up a slew of FABULOUS antique doilies (that we ended up framing) & I've been hooked ever since. Ditto hankies...

sewgull 06-01-2012 06:28 PM

Beautiful dollie. I will be glad to give it a good home.

bearisgray 06-01-2012 06:33 PM

It's beautiful. I love the older patterns. I still use the doilies my mother made for me. They are over 50 years old and still look good. Thanks for sharing.
