Passing of QB member
 

My dear quilting friend and member of this board has passed away. Cherie 'FQ Stash Queen" passed away on May 5th 2017.
Cherie was an avid quilter. She loved making quilts and quilty things for her family and friends. She loved sharing her talent and love for quilting with others. She will be missed!

I met her when she took a BOM quilting class I was teaching at Hancocks many years ago. We became friends and quilting buddies, working on many projects throughout the years. She has always been very good to my granddaughters....making sure they had plenty of fabric to work with.... my 'almost' 9 year old dgd has an impressive 'stash'. She even made Bonnie Hunter's 'Crayon Box' pattern with her own stash. (when she was 7 and almost entirely on my vintage hand crank machine!)

As i said before, she will be greatly missed!

I"m so sorry to hear that your friend and our fellow quilter passed. She will be missed but hopefully making quilts somewhere up there.

So sorry for your loss and a loss for the quilting community. May your fond memories of Cherie bring some comfort during this difficult time.

Good of you to memoralize her. Apparently she lives on and will in the skills she shared and taught.

Very sad to hear of this. I guess if we see quilts dropping from heaven, we'll all know what she's up to!

My condolences to your friends family and other friends. I would think it would make her smile to see what you wrote in honor of her.
