Persian Pickle Club Movie
 

One of my favorite books is being made into a movie. This book by Sandra Dallas tells the story of a group of women quilters in the 30's depression and their friendship.

I have not been able to locate anything about who is in it, or when it is coming out.

I love all of Sandra Dallas's books because she always has quilting mentioned in some way.

When this does hit the big screen, I am going to ask my quilting friends to attend as a group. Girls afternoon out.

PS: Persian Pickle is what they called the Paisley fabric back then.

I just Googled it and it sounds like they are still trying to fund it. You have to be on Facebook or Pinterest to get further information. I think it would make a great movie.

I don't know which, but either an email or a site I was on had a survey about this movie, as well as other quilting videos. Is it in process or just a thought.

The last page, the submit page, says you have to like on facebook a shedload of products or websites in order to be entered for any of the prizes. Except on the last popup page for facebook there isn't any place to continue on. :(
It wants the responder to chose whether to safe browser or not. Either choice still gives no options to go forward.

It is like the page offered is too small, but there isn't any way to enlarge the screen, either by pulling or clicking on the enlarge button in upper right. Phooey.

Whatever, it appears to be a joint project of various quilt related companies, not a mainstream movie, and hence all the questions about whether or not we buy dvds or watch stuff on youtube etc, and that if it is made it will be marketing a line of Persian Pickle fabric and pattern.

It worked going through firefox. Still took a long time. I'd love to win something. I think the last thing I ever won was a used quilt book at a show. I nearly went into cardiac arrest :) In a good way.

I love that book - I had to find all the other books Sandra Dallas wrote - they are all good. I could see the Persian Pickle Club as a movie - can't wait to see that one.
