Pet responsibility projects
I have a friend who is part of an organization that goes into schools at fourth grade level and teaching students about pet responsibility. I would like to be supportive of her and made something that she can give her students. Many of these children have very little and would appreciate anything they would get. Any ideas? I have thought about badges or small tote bags with a pet theme. I have an embroidery machine so can make these in the hoop. There would be many students involved (25-50?) so I would need something not too time consuming, but would have time to make them advance for the next years classes.
Thank you for you help. Jo Ann |
I like the idea of tote bags, but also bookmarks or book covers.

Thank you. Booksmarks would be a great idea. Bookcovers might take a long time.

You could get in thoop lace book marks from embroidery library.

not sure children use real books anymore, a bookmark might puzzle them :)
Never having had kids I have't a clue what they'd like other than bright, but the whole project warms my heart. We have our real estate willed to two shelters, animals have given Rob and I much more than we are worthy of over or marriage. |
How about keyring fobs? Something like these:

Like the key fobs. Cute idea

Kathy T. went to the site and it looks like the Christmas set for $5.99 would be an easy stitch out. Also not costly for the little rings and could put in your own words or even a line design of a paw print.
The site has nice prices, thank you for directing us there. |
That is wonderful to remember the shelters in your wills. I currently have a wonderful dog, Ruby, that my neighbor found at the dump when she was a very young pup.

Thanks for the ideas. Still pondering...........
