Please check your refills carefully. I ran in and picked up a prescription for blood pressure meds. I take 10 mg but the pharmacist refilled it at 40 mg. Yes he screwed up but it was my responsibility to check. Just slow down & check.

Thank you for the advice. I have had a similar experience. It can be fatal if we don't check all of our meds when we pick them up from the pharmacy.
|
Thanks,
That is always good advice . It is always heard better coming from a person sharing a personal experience . Bless You for your concern for the rest of us. Peace |
Good catch!
Scary to think of how easy that is to miss! |
Please mention this to all the caretakers out there helping your family & friends.

Had a pharmacy short my hubby a hundred pills once but they took care of it fast. I have also had them give me someone else's meds too. It's aalways good to check.

Just remember the people in the medical field (from receptionist to specialists) are human and make mistakes.
I never assume anything is right and always ask questions! I've experienced TOO MANY of those types of errors like you mentioned. |
Thats a great tip. I always check. I was given the wrong meds all together a couple of years ago when I got phemonia.
The doctor wrote the wrong meds down. It wasn't the pharmacy fault. But now I check closely. I don't like to go to the hospital emergency. :| |
As a retired nurse I always double check mine and my husbands......Good advise!
|
I always check but only the name of the drug never the dosage. Thanks for that tip. Denise
