This artist is new to me, but got her book on fabric folding and tried one of her designs. This is the result.

Wow, that's an item you won't find in a store! Very nice and very different looking.

Oh my, that looks extremely difficult. It looks like it's from an earlier era. Beautiful embellishments too. Is it just me, or do you see a lady's bust in this pillow? :o

Love the design and the embellishments! Did you make the pin-tucks too? Great job!!

Unique and interesting.

I was a beginning quilter when I had the opportunity to take a class of Rami Kim's. She spoke at our guild and had classes the day after. We made a quilted vest which incorporated many of her techniques - unfortunately, mine is still in the UFO pile. Maybe someday it will get finished. If you ever have a chance to see or hear her, be sure to take advantage of it. She usually does a trunk show of her work when she speaks, and it is OUTSTANDING!

I saw a you-tube video of one of her techniques. Fabric strips were woven in such a way as to create tumbling blocks. I had trouble replicating her work without the book. Here's the location of the video.

Thanks for the introduction! I'll try to remember her name.

Beautiful cushion.

You're right. Think it's just the way I fluffed the pillow. Would LOVE to know HOW to rotate my photos when I upload them to the Quiltingboard! Any suggestions???

Here's a link to fabric manipulations, i.e, pintucks, fabric folding, etc. https://mypatchwork.wordpress.com/20...ion-tutorials/

First thing I noticed, too!
