Pillow making - what's the secret re: corners?

I know that there's a secret to filling the corners of a pillow. I fill them, and by the time the pillow is filled, the corners
are empty. I'd prefer not to overfill and turn the pillows into little rocks - does anyone know the secret?
Thanks in advance.

When I used to do pillows, I would take a 4-4 inch square pieces of Poly quilt batt, fold them in half and stitch one in each corner of final edge seam. (L shaped in the corners)

some put a bit of poly stuffing in the corners before putting the pillow form inside.

Thanks, BellaBoo - that was it! I'd heard about doing that, but forgot......

I don't make pillows anymore. When I use to make them I didn't use a form, just stuffed with polyfil. They can be washed but not dried in a dryer, that causes the polyfil to bunch up.

There are so many knowledgeable people on this board. They are so willing to help out and share their knowledge with anyone that needs help.

When I make pillow that I stuff, I always sew batting on the back side of the fabric. This keeps the pillows smooth and lump free.

Don't make the corners perfectly square or they get funny points. I kinda round it off and make the seam a little larger.
