Pillowcase Dress
1 Attachment(s)
My niece sent me a link to a pillowcase dress on pinterest with a note that read, "Isn't this cute?" Well, I have been her aunt long enough to know that "Isn't this cute?" really means, "You can make this for me, right?" So, I took a quilting break and here it is :) It's for her sweet Eliza, my little great-niece. What do you think?

That IS really cute!

So DARLING!!!! Love the monogram. Bet she'll really enjoy it. Great job.

Thanks, Guys! I would venture to guess that this isn't the last pillowcase dress I will be making. I may sew the next one on the serger instead of using french seams though. I love french seams but they are more time consuming! The serger will get 'er done and get 'er done quickly!!

It really is cute!!!!

These are very easy to make. My quilting ladies at church make arould 50 and sent to a mission in Africa.

So adorable!

It is cute. I had a couple of them last year. You can whip one up in no time.

I think it's adorable! One of the organizations in our church was collecting them last fall for the missions.
|
That's wicked cute!

Wow what a great idea! I love all the ideas I get on this board. Good job and thanks for sharing.

You are a GREAT aunt. It is adorable.

This is adorable. Our WMU at church is making these to put in "shoe boxes" for our missionarie children in foreign
countries. I have 15 cut out so far - material from my stash. You can use either pillow cases or about 1-1/4 yd. of fabric. The bow ties can be made or use ribbon. This one is absolutely darling. Dodee |
Really cute.

Darling, she'll love it.

Did you use a purchased pattern or something from the Internet?
|
I think little Eliza is very lucky to have such a sweet and talented great aunt!
|
I didn't exactly follow a pattern - couldn't find one that matched the photo she sent me exactly, but I based it on this free pattern: http://fabshophop.com/downloads/pill...ress_chop1.pdf I did the neckline differently as well as the tie.

What a cute dress! I made a pillow case dress using the pillow case as the skirt and added my own bodice and sleeves. The pillowcase had crocheting around the edge. Have a picture of my granddaughter wearing it - it was so fun!

Just darling. She will love it.
