Pillowcase Strips

Hi, I am new to this forum...I have a sewing question about stitching the 2" strip down when making the "burrito style" pillowcases...I have made quite a number of this style pillowcase for donations, gifts and myself...I really like to stitch along the bottom of the strip when they are finished...in my opinion, they launder better and I like that strip to lay flat...I'm interested in knowing if anyone else does this or as has done...what are your opinions?

Whatever works for you. I think that it would look neater and not flop around if you did that extra row of stitching.

I stitch that strip down also as I think it looks neater! :))

I'm about to do that to one since it keeps turning up in the dryer!

I sew those strips down also, no need to iron.

welcome Carol. I do like you also, much neater finished project and WAY nicer when washed.

I sometimes will use one of the fancy stitches on my machine to stitch it down. Gives it a little pizazz.

welcome to our wonderful group. if it works for you do it. I like to tack it down, I know what you mean, no ironing when it's done.
