As we were watching cartoons in bed this morning with Emi, we were watching Boomerang and not only do they show old cartoons, they also use vintage things to make some of the commercials. One of the commercials today was made using two Pixie Elves. It brought me such memories. When I was a little girl my grandma had one and for the whole Christmas season our game was to see who got him seated in the most weird positions. It was so fun not knowing how he was going to be seated the next morning and by whom. When I was about 11 years old I made my brother and sister laugh when I stood him up and position him walking holding hands with my 11 inch Barbie look alike doll. At ages 9 and 13, they thought it was the funniest thing they ever saw.

Did you have a Pixie Elf growing up? They were also known as Knee Huger.

Yes my mother has some for her tree, thanks for bringing back the memory of those.

I had one just like that but he was green and white stripped Elfie sometimes left little treats for the kids if they were good or notes for them to try harder. I still put an elf in my tree each year to keep an eye on the kids even though they are grown now!

Oh yes we had a couple elves when our girls were small. THE GAME was to hide it in the tree for the sister to find it. Entertainment for hours. The good ole days. Ruth

My aunt Violet had 100 of them. Every year it was an adventure to seen where she had peaking out of all over the house.

My mom collects them. She has tons of them. We just ordered several from Ebay in the last couple of weeks.
